Creative bench, round one
Which website would you put your name to?
Three AI models, each building every site twice, once at high effort and once at medium. Six sites per business. You vote blind.
The question
How do three AI models compare on purely creative work, when the job is the same, and does extra effort help?
The test
Three fictional small businesses, each with a detailed written design brief. Each model got the same brief and the same instructions, and designed and built the same three pages from scratch: the direction, type, colour, layout and copy are all its own.
Why six sites per business
These models have an effort setting: how much they think before and while they work. Higher effort takes longer and costs more. So every model built every site twice, once at high effort and once at medium, from identical instructions. That puts two questions in one vote: which model designs better, and whether the extra thinking actually shows in the result.
One instruction, one run, no follow-up
Every site came from one pass of the same instructions and brief. No model got a second go, feedback, or a "fix this". Read the exact instructions.
What's held equal
Nobody chose a direction for either model and nothing was fixed afterwards. Photographs were added later by a separate image model, one for each photo frame a design drew, in the same style for every site, so judge the design rather than the pictures.
How to vote
Open all six sites, click around their three pages, try them on your phone, then pick the one you would put your name to. If you like, grade them on how well they fit the brief, their design and how they work on a phone. You can change your vote at any time from the same browser. Which model made which stays hidden until voting closes, and the six sites appear in a random order for each visitor.
