Started with shipyard redundancy money. Still building things properly by hand.
Iain opened Clydebank Cycles in 1998 with the redundancy money from the shipyard. The idea was not complicated: do the work properly, by hand, for anyone who walks through the door.
That is still the whole idea. A daily commuter, a rider chasing a custom gravel build, a child who needs a bike adapted so they can ride with their pals: same shop floor, same standard. It is how a working town has always made things, and it is how we make ours.
Three worlds, one family, one shop floor.
