Three generations on one mountainside near Cloudcroft. Eduardo planted the first vines in 1982 on land his father bought in the 1970s, and his daughters make the wine today: Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc, Riesling and our signature sparkling. There is no secret to it. We just farm it carefully.Tres generaciones en la misma ladera, cerca de Cloudcroft. Eduardo plantó las primeras vides en 1982 en la tierra que su padre compró en los años setenta, y hoy sus hijas hacen el vino: Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc, Riesling y nuestro espumoso de la casa. A 45-minute tasting flight in a tasting room about 20 minutes from Alamogordo, open Thursday to Monday, 11 to 5. Book ahead or just turn up; walk-ins are welcome. They told me New Mexico couldn't make serious wine. I planted the first vines in 1982, on the land my father bought in the seventies, and set out to prove them wrong. There is no trick to it.
